MMR/ Hep B vaccines

Posted

Needn't to the health department a while back to get my first hep B shot. I was looking at my shot record and they wrote numbers under the two slots under MMR... These are different vaccines correct? Maybe it's a mistake and they wrote it in the wrong slot!? I'm confused. ( I'll call Monday) I was just wondering what's the difference in the shots?

As far as I'm aware, the only combo for MMR is an addition of varicella, called ProQuad.

How many shots did you get? The MMR and Hep B are two different shots. The MMR vaccinates against measles, mumps and rubella and the Hep B shot against Hepatitis B. You need 2 of the MMR and 3 of the Hep B.
