work for education

  1. I thought this was an amazing program. At the college of the ozarks they don't pay tutition but work 15 hours a week and have no debt after graduation. They do have a nursing program. I do not go there but I was doing research on schools in the area and found this one.

There is a whole group of schools like this in the US. Berea College in KY and Warren Wilson in western NC are others. There is no formal tuition, and every student, regardless of her/his financial background and ability to pay, works on campus (or in some job related to the college). They were originally founded specifically to provide young people from high-poverty areas a chance to get a college education.
