Need help !!

  1. I am a CNA, certified in IL. I will be graduating from a practical nursing program in December. I would like to get a job as a CNA in MO and continue to work at the same place as an LPN instead of waiting until I graduate and then have to change jobs. Every where that I apply says that I need to be certified in MO and would have to challenge the MO CNA test. I see that as a waste of time and money seeing that I will be graduating in December. Does anyone know of a nursing home/hospital in MO that would hire an IL CNA. Please help!!!

Sorry...I don't specifically have the answer you seek....I would suggest calling some of the homes on this side of the river. Pick up any nursing magazine, or student nursing magazine (they always have them sitting near our nursing offices @ school) and look through them or do an internet search for MO LTC facilities and then start making phone calls. Most recruiters I have ever dealt with from a student perspective are always more than willing to help and talk to soon-to-be new grads!!
    Best wishes!!
