i'm starting to realize that it isn't going to be easy to find the job i want when i finish school. i'm in practical nursing school right now and i plan to go straight for my rn. i was wanting to find an lpn weekend option at a hopsital, but those seem to be few and far between. i'm scared that i'm going to be stuck at the nursing home i work at now and lose everthing i've learned.

Eddy,

I live in Kc and am about to graduate from LPN school. I am adamant about working in a hospital as an LPN. Which hospitals hire LPN's. The only one I know of is in St. Joe. Any reccomendations would be great, as I have no med experiece so agency is out of the question. Thanks!

It's been a while since I first posted here. I did end up working in the nursing home setting for 8 months before I was hired as an LPN on medical floor at WMMC. Love it, and now I may be moving to Springfield. :)

I'm not sure what the status is of available LPN openings but I do wish you the very best.

If you do work in the Nursing home, just practice recalling everything you have learned in LPN school, get great at lab draws and IV's, find opportunities to use your new knowledge.
