Mission College LVN-RN 2017

Published

Hi all, I thought I would begin a thread for prospective students planning on applying to Mission College in Santa Clara, CA, for their LVN-RN program this year. Feel free to bookmark & chat about the application process, leave questions, etc., & maybe we can figure it out together. :) Hope to hear from some of you soon!

Hey, do you know when we should hear back from mission?

Hi @KimmyLove, the application says we should hear back by email + postal mail by April 15th. Hopefully it's sooner than that, I'm so anxious.

I have a GPA of about 3.4 and 82% in TEAS. I'm freaking out. I don't know my fate.

I read the same thing, that they would let people know by the 15th of April. I'm not sure if GPA and teas are what they go off of, I was pretty sure it's a lottery system.

Waiting... Still 1 week wait..

Hi everyone! Spoke to the assistant director & she told me we will be notified by Friday or sooner. & yeah it's lottery system... at the information session they said that if you pass all requirements & chancellor formula, etc., then you are eligible & put into the pool for lottery. Around 125 typically apply but they said only an average of about 80-90 people are actually eligible. From that they'll be randomly selecting 30 students & 2 alternates. Good luck to us all!

I think when they said they would get back to people before the 15th they meant the 14th? I haven't received anything from them yet, had anyone else?

Nothing for me yet.

Still waiting....nothing yet

Hi @mshllav, the application said by the 15th which would mean either tomorrow (Saturday), or earlier. However I've read a bunch of threads about Mission & unfortunately theyre known to always be late! :( Doesn't make sense to me; if they know they are late every year, they should just change the date from April 15th to a later date. Hopefully they're true to their word & get back to us by tomorrow!
