Mission has always been the main hospital in WNC but I have heard terrible things about morale since HCA took over. If you were offered jobs at Mission and at Advent (formerly Park Ridge, in Hendersonville) - jobs are in the same department, pay is close-ish - which hospital would you rather work for?

Definitely Park Ridge/Advent Health. I worked at Mission prior to the HCA takeover. The morale wasn’t so great then, but from what I’m hearing from people who have just left there, it’s a nightmare now. Plus with the nursing staff getting ready to unionize, I hear the current nursing environment is one that’s unstable and hostile at times.
