Missing the old days - Nurse wanting to offer support

Published

Specializes in Case Management/Med Surge/Infusion.

Hello all,

My name is Renée and I was super active on this wonderful page as a pre-nursing student in the early 2000’s and then graduated in 2010. Now, here I am 10 years later, reflecting on what it was like a full decade ago, and wanting to relive the excitement while helping others.

So, I’m not sure if anyone would be interested, but if you would like to ask me any questions/advice about any point of my nursing journey (pre-nursing, nursing school, NCLEX, new grad, what to do next), I am eager to answer any questions and feel young again LOL. I hope to find a way to get back into the “nursing school world” one day and be surrounded by the exciting energy I experience whenever I see nursing students in the hospital. Here’s a little snippet of me and my career at 36 years old thus far:

2002 - Graduated High School

2002-2006 - Figured out my life in community college and failing out of an LPN program (yikes!)

2007-2010 - BSN program

2010-2014 - US Army RN (Med Surg)

2014 - 2016 - Infusion Therapy

2016 - Present - Case Management, Nurse Navigator, per diem Infusion, currently working on non-profit organization

I’m looking forward to getting to know anyone interested!

- Renée ?

Hey Renée, so I’m about to take the TEAS but I haven’t taken any of my science classes yet. Any tips?

The only reason I’m taking the TEAS before my science classes is because the deadline for Spring 2022 is in the Summer, which is when I’ll start my science classes.
