Misdemeanor/Felony?

I was charged with a possession charge and a misdemeanor theft charge at my job and of course had my license suspended. It's been 2.5 years. I am trying to get my license back. My attorney said that the charges will probably be dropped, but in the meantime, should I send in reinstatement paperwork for my license? I do not have any previous charges. Even so, I wonder if employees would be looking to POSSIBLY hire someone with pending charges..TIA

I am by no means an expert, but I say go for it. The worst thing that can happen is that they reject your application and you end up where you are right now.

I say send in your paperwork as soon as possible. I just went through getting my license back, it took over 3 years. You have to be very diligent, very thorough, I think I've sent an application and fingerprints in five times. I finally just passed the boards, so now I'm trying to find a job. Everyone thinks it's just going to be totally easy to get a job, but I have my doubts. I say if you want to be a nurse fill that paperwork out send it in as soon as possible. Keep track of everything make copies of everything. And most of all call your bored once a week. They're not too happy with me I'm sure but I finally have my license back. Good luck

I was told that once you pass your boards you never have to take them again even if your license has been disciplined? Am I missing something or was I misinformed? This was also a TX nurse

That is correct. Once you take them, you are done.

Why did you have to take your boards again? I'm confused.
