Micro and Anatomy during a 7 week summer session?

Published

Is this the most insane thing? Right now I work full time and I am in school full time. I have to finish these classes by the end of summer.

My plan is to take 7 weeks vacation from work and focus only on these 2 classes. Even though I will not be working is this the most insane thing ever?

I leave in the SF Bay Area (San Mateo) and would prefer two summer sessions back to back but I can't find any.

I think its possible, If you can manage right now to work full tim and go to school full time then I would say that you can do it.

It's not impossible especially because you'll have those 7 weeks off.

Go for it.

Sounds like it will be an intense 7 weeks, but if you can devote everything you have to those two classes, then I bet you can manage. I wouldn't attempt it if you have any other responsibilities like kids and such, b/c your life is going to be eat, sleep, go to class, study; eat, sleep, got to class, study. Rinse and repeat :)

I wouldn't do that personally.

I took Micro in a summer session and I wasnt able to pass (Straight A student before that) so I couldnt even imagine trying to do TWO summer courses. Ugh.

Alot of the time people will encourage you to try it, but the programs here in SoCal they dont want you to repeat ANY science class more than once (otherwise you cant get into the ADN programs) so I would really thing twice before I took on that load since the odds are you might not pass one, mabey both due to being stretched out so thin, but make sure with your programs if they have that repeat rule first.

Good luck whatever you choose to do

Thanks for all the replies.

I decided against it for many reasons. One reason was I only have 3 weeks vacation banked and would have to take a month off unpaid which would be way too hard to manage fianances. There were a lot of other reasons. I will be working 30 hours and taking just Anatomy in summer and not too worried about it.

Thanks again!

I think you made the right decision! You'll do awesome in A&P then have the benefit of some of the overlap topics between A&P and Micro when you do take Micro.
