Michigan does not have a scope of practice for Nurses. I am confused. How do I learn what I legally can to in different settings? I would like to learn about nursing homes.

Go Bucks!

I did actually include a link to the Evil State Up North's Board of Nursing in my post so it wasn't completely useless. Unfortunately most of my other posts are.:(

This talks a little about LTC. I'm an LPN who works overnight for LTC, we have 3 floors and an Alzheimer Unit. Working overnight, I'm the only nurse for my floor (approximately 60 residents/floor). The only thing the facility has to do is make sure there is 1 RN for the whole facility overnight.

I do know I cannot push IV meds, cannot mess with picc lines, and cannot draw blood (I can be trained though). We can (I believe) do admissions, head to toe assessments, transfers to ED.

Ewwww get outta here ohio (notice I didn't capitalize your state) people. Seriously, don't need to go sit in a corn field or something. Sorry my bad you guys do have Cedar Point and thats about it unless you really enjoy boring land and state police every quarter mile.

Now on to answer your question you just need to go to the Michigan.gov
