WAITING for that ONE specail Letter... Winter of 08 wcccd

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

Anyone else kinda put in the back of their head that they applied, and now they are just WAITING!! Yea right, its floating in front of my face every day, all day. Im not going going to lie Im not slacking per say this semester, rather then not being as focused.:trout: Did I mention I was talking abut applying for the WCCCD nursing program, starting in jan of 08. AHHHHHHH Does anyone know when we might be finding out??? I have HIGGGHHH HOPES, I have HIGGHHH HOPES, high in the sky hopes!! :monkeydance::monkeydance:

"Whatever instructor you choose, I highly recommend looking at the book and becoming familiar with it before the first day of class. Hope this helps!"

:yeahthat: I learned the metric system and they easy way of converting. If you learn the basics, you will be fine. I took it last November. I spent the month of August getting a good handle on the information. I passed with a 92%....I walked out of class thinking YEAH, an A...WRONG, that is a B in nursing school:uhoh21:

I had F. Williams.

I have Dr. Cook at the NW campus. She's pretty good, but she is very fast paced.

I just wanted to add... Once in the nursing program it's ALL fast paced. :uhoh3: And I agree with DaMomma. Read through the first 3-4 chapters prior to class starting. You're going to be quizzed on the first day & you are going to be doing 5-8 chapters per week. It's a lot of busy work if you are carrying other classes--especially NUR classes!

Good luck to all. I think I got my acceptance in early November.

Goodluck. If it's any consolation to you, I got in with a 3.47 and I applied at the very last meeting. Let me tell you one thing though. I have seen most of the people from my original orientation fail a class. We started with 120 and now have about 40 left. It may seem as though there are more of us, but that's because they let people back in who have failed. Your grade point average is only used as a means to select. It has no bearing on how you will do in the program. Keep your head up. I'm in my third semester, 2nd 71/2 weeks. We lost more people from our psych rotation and I'm not sure how many from Med Surg 3. You can do ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO.

Just waiting on this letter I am feeling excited, scared and nervous at the same time. I can not wait to (hopefully) start the Nursing Program. Getting ready for my first medical math class this Friday - YUCK!

Tasha,

I was feeling the exact same way this summer . And now I am 8 weeks into the program, starting clinicals on Thursday, I am feeling that way all over again!!! Learn to like, if not love Med Math because it will NEVER go away, NEVER. But if you can't like or love it, learn it and be prepared for a lifetime relationship with MED MATH.;)

I am a second semester student in the nursing program, and I believe I didn't get my acceptance letter until mid/late November, so don't freak out if it doesn't come on Monday.

I just called the nurses office and thats what they said. Although someone ele said not until the 14th of nov. Im just going by the nursing office!

Thank you!! I agree with you I would go with the nursing office. You would think that they would mail out the letters before registration for spring so you know if you have to find other classes to take. Maybe that is just my logical thinking though. Whether it is Moday or in two weeks I guess I will try to wait as patient as possible!!
