Hello, does anyone know any hospitals or LTC facilities in the Detroit Metro Area that hires nurse techs that are in a LPN/RN program? If so, will they allow us to start foleys, flush tube feedings and etc?:nurse:

DMC, St. Johns, Henry Ford. Not sure about the tube feedings though. In the DMC I could do straight caths, Foley's, IV starts, blood draws, bandages, admissions (signed off by RN), and of course all the PCA work.

So this is only for an RN student? Not an LPN grad or student? How hard is it to get in?;)

Most say they are for students in an RN program. I'm not really sure about opportunities for LPN students.

DMC they have SNA positions for people in school for their RN. Pretty good program from what I've seen. Lots of em get hired right into the unit they work if they feel they want to stay once their boards are passed.

Ms Shaw how was your experience at everest, I suppose to start Monday! I'm excited about the lpn program! Did you find a job right after you got licensed? And how was the classes? You can also email me at 7346128276
