At my school the net results are valid for two years. If you are not accepted into the program by the time the two years is up, you have to retake the test.

If you've got a passing NET test (65 or higher fro HFCC) save it like a lottery ticket!! A very recent NET given at HFCC only resulted in 2 people passing from a pool of 14 who attempted it. Yowsa.

Wow, only 2 out of 14 passed the NET at HFCC? I took it back in June. You know how they have you wait in line and they explain the results? Most of the people in front of me failed. This one guy was like, this is my third time taking it and I still can't pass it. (I think you have 3 chances then you can't take it for a certain amount of time.) BY the time the proctor got to me , my heart was in my knees, then she said.....:smiley_aa Congrats!!! I think I was one of the few skipping out of the room.

I have to retake my NET cuz it expires 2 months before I begin nursing school! That really ticks me off; with my luck I'll fail and bye-bye dreams of being a nurse. And I think they are raising the score next year.

When I took mine everyone failed in front of me as well, my knees were shaking in line!

I do not want to retake it!

You HAVE to get that little book to study for it.

I took 2 NET tests....one at WCCCCD (paper test) and HFCC. I scored a low 60 on the reading part, and 97 on the math part. Good enough for WCCCCD but not for HFCC. I was bummed. I then went to HFCC to take it again a week later (computer) and scored 78 on reading, 96 on math. I prefer the paper test at WCCCCD....less nerve racking, and you could go back. You can't go back and check your answers at HFCC computer test, but you DO get your results as soon as you're done, as you know. (Over 2 weeks to get the paper one back!)

I didn't wait in a line to get my 'results'....we were allowed to just go over and get it from the copier. There was only one result I wanted to see....I didn't need anyone explaining it to me.

Where did you hear HFCC were raising the score? They just raised it to 65.

Just work hard and pass it Amybeth....don't you dare think of not getting into nursing school.

Yep, I got a letter a few weeks ago...already registered and retake it in May. When I took it in 5/05 the reading passing was a 55, now it's 65 just like the Math. The composite score is still 65. I have a B.A. in English and only scored a 58 on the reading so I must score higher to pass this time around! If your test time expires before u start the program, you'll be getting a letter a few months before it expires letting u know. They sent me a letter last month when mine doesn't expire until May. And, they are only accepting the NET at HFCC, u can't go to WCCCD or anywhere else. Seems people are having imposters take the test @ HFCC when they have failed miserable many times over at another school and then getting weeded out early in the program, hence taking more qualified student spaces. All this according to the dean @ HFCC.

Hope u don't have to retake! Did u get an acceptance letter for this Fall?
They are taking 220 students this Fall. Apparently 70 letters have already gone out and another 70 are in the mail. Then there are another 80 going out sometime. I go to orientation this Fri.

    Good luck!
