MSU vs UofM Grad School

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

Hello all,

I was recently accepted at both Michigan State University and the University of Michigan for BSN to DNP Family Nurse Practitioner program. I am having a very difficult time choosing which program I should pursue. I think either school would be a fantastic choice but I cannot make a decision to save my life! They are both four year programs. Does anybody have any experience with either program and can offer some input on their personal experiences?

Thanks so much!

Specializes in Hospitalist Medicine.

MSU places you in clinicals. UM-Flint makes you set up your own clinicals. Something to factor in to your decision.

It's UofM - Ann Arbor, but that is good to know! I had considered applying there as well.

UofM - Ann Arbor also places you in clincals. MSU only offers the FNP or Adult Gero NP. UofM - Ann Arbor offers the FNP, Adult Gero NP (AGNP), and the acute care (AG-ACNP). I think they also offer PMHNP, as well. Do you know what specialty you want?
