HELLO,

i PLAN ON APPLYING TO THE 2018 FALL COHORT. WANTED TO SEE HOW MANY OTHERS ARE JUST AS NERVOUS AS I AM. LETS TAKE THE JOURNEY TOGETHER!!

How many applicants would you say there were on the submission sheet? I'm just curious as to how many more people applied at the second submission session

Well there was about 15 people there in the morning at 9 am, there might have been 50 applicants just giving an estimation at the pace people were walking in. I think the majority of people applied in the morning, because i had to pick up a friend from the other building and the parking lot was almost empty around 2:30.

Ok thanks for the info! I just wonder because I dont remember the points I had but I know that your submission session was only available for the remaining spots. So if enough students applied to satisfy the 120 student limit then everyone might get in. If more applied then it will be more competitive.

In that case I hope we all get in, a little stressed over here.. hopefully it isn't as competitive as the last few semesters... some people get placed as "alternatives" I hope that's not the case for me

I got accepted! Can't wait to meet you all soon and take on this journey with you!

Aww congrats! Yay!

That was so quick! Lol.

I know!! I handed in my application on Thursday*, I guess they had to make quick decisions before the June 6th meeting, thankyou!!

Hello everyone, hope all is well and I'm sure everyone starting this month is sooooo excited. I applied to the program on 6/28 for the Fall 2019 cohort and unfortunately due to the extended deadline wont find out if i was accepted til mid September. I'm super anxious because they no longer tell you how many points you have and I'm not sure if what i had was good enough. My pre req GPA was 3.4 and my overall HESI score was 89.5 and i have 27 total credits taken at HFCC. Can anyone that got in tell me if their app was similar to mine and they still got in. Just so nervous it isn't enough, i even contemplated going and taking a CNA class to be able to add that to my app for extra points.

Hello,

I'm happy to help! I don't think you need to worry so much. My CNA was expired so I couldn't add that on my application. Prereq GPA was a around a 3.5, My hesi score was oval 87%, I have 89 total college credits from Henry ford, and an Associate degree in Genral Studies. I applied to the extended application date which was in May and got accepted a week later. I'm not sure if they accepted all students who applied because there weren't that many that applied to the earlier application date which was in January. Hope that helped, Good luck!

Hello everyone hope all is well in your 1st semester of nursing school!!! I found out Friday that I was accepted into the Winter 2019 cohort!!!!!!! I'm sooooo excited. Now I'm starting to get anxious about everything that is about to come, mainly all of the things we have to get done before we start. Can anyone tell me what all you guys had to get before you started. I'm a planner so I want to try to get as much done as I can, the sooner the better
