Good morning/night to all who are reading this,
I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).
Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?
Well I Called today and they told me that they're not sure yet. To call at least once a week. The lady told me to call wednesday of next wekk to find out. Shes assuming by end of october early november.
But i do know that each year its been around the 17/18 the first round of emails.
&& i think its important they send then out early bc we have so much to do before classes begin in january such as orientation and background checks etc.
So I have a very good friend at Interamerican campus (She's and advisor). She e-mailed the head advisor at medical and was told that ''they are hoping to start sending emails within the next 2 to three weeks''. This was back on October 2! That puts us between Oct 17 and Oct 21. We are almost there guys, we are almost there. Has anyone started the process of getting the paperwork already?

You guys won't register yet but don't worry the classes are put on hold until acceptance letters come out. When they do you will have your orientation day. When you guys receive your emails you will have instructions to create a Complio account which you need to upload all you titters for mmr, proof of varicella and hep b vaccines, flu, physical, for card, and any license you hold and ppd. I did everything before I got my acceptance, so when i got my acceptance all I had to do was upload the paperwork to Complio to be review. The problem with this is that if by orientation day you don't have all this uploaded you will not register until you do and the people who are compliant will register and that will leave you with the bad choices of clinicals cause everyone will choose the good ones. Get everything done cause even if you don't get in you will need it anyways for other universities. The flu shot is 15 dollars at the medical campus. The day of orientation take you computer or tablet. Because at the end of orientation does who are compliant with everything their codes in their degree audit will change and that will enable you guys to register right there by your self. Let me know if you guys have any questions? Do not buy new books don't go crazy specially the fundamentals of nursing book is like 40 dollars in half.com. They will try to sell you a book bundle for like 450 at the orientation don't fall for it buy everything separate on half.com or valore.com. Do not buy the uniform from the bookstore in medical campus there is a store next to the Wendy's call Blue angels that where I got my scrubs for cheaper. The first thing you should do when u get you email is go that day pay your 100 dollars and go by the bookstore to pay 5 dollars for them to do your plaque with your name this takes 1 month or more you need to do it that day if not you will not be able to go to clinicals. You definitely need a rolling bookbag. You need a big case to organize all the powerpoints you will be printing so guys buy a printer. The key to nursing school is to be organize.
