Check the website out: http://www.mdc.edu/medical/Nursing/rn_generic_pt.asp
Also, you should be informed that pre-reqs have been updated this past week. We are required to take MAC1105 because MAT1033 is no longer the minimum for acceptance. CLP1006 is no longer a pre-req. I think you should see an adviser in the medical campus. I am heading over tomorrow for advisement also. :-)
I should also inform you that admission to the program is based on GPA! So please get straight A's on all your pre-reqs!!!! Good luck!!!!!! :) :) :)

If you want to start next fall (August 2010) its based on GPA. However, starting Spring semester admissions will be based on a test; they will no longer consider GPA. The exam will include reading, writing, math and science.
Are any of you going to apply for the part time program starting in August? This is the last chance to do it without taking the TEAS test. What is the schedule like for this program?

Oh, and no. I am applying for full time.
This looks like it will take forever!! Wow. Well at least someone could work and take their time to complete the program. Great information.
Usually the threads would be bustling now with comment from everyone applying for the fall. I need to get all my things in order at the campus so I can go ahead and apply when I visit.
Yea I think its like, a whole other year... :/ Would you have to work full time though? I know that some full time students work for a few hours and do ok. But that depends on the person and other things they have at home like family.... Yea go soon and talk to a pre-admissions counselor asap. I haven't found many MDC fall threads either which is weird. I think the MDC fever died, lol.

Hi, can someone please give me an example of schedule for the part time. I mean, is it on the weekends or during the weekdays? And if so, how many hours and what days?
I think its in the afternoon/night on weekdays and on weekends all day. I don't know anything else.

I went to the Medical Campus a couple of weeks ago and was told that for the P/T RN classes are held on weekday afternoons (Im assuming 4PM-???) and clinicals are on Saturdays.
I just saw online the schedule of classes for the fall is now available. You can look at the courses and get a general idea that you will take two classes for 1.5 hours during the week and 2 classes on Saturday (10-4). Not too shabby for those people who work a standard 9-5 day. The classes during the week start at 6pm and end before 8pm so that is great.
