Hi. I'm considering applying to the ABSN program at Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria, IL. In searching, there were quite a few negative comments about the program, but many of them are somewhat old - 2011 and older. In looking at their NCLEX pass rates, they've definitely increased every year since then. While their pass rates are not at the level that some programs are, they're not too bad compared with other programs in this area. And I like their scheduling - two evenings a week and every weekend. It seems like it would be more doable with working and young kiddos at home (okay I might be insane). Anyways, I'm looking for current feedback on this program. My biggest concern is that they're EXPENSIVE and I already have student loans from my first BA and a year of grad school (different area), so I absolutely will not be able to afford this unless I get picked up by HRSA or some other really great scholarship program that completely covers tuition. So, back to my question. Have you completed this program? Currently in the program? Likes? Dislikes? Experiences with instructors? What about clinicals? Do you feel that you're receiving proper preparation for the NCLEX as well as being ready to work as a nurse when you're done?
Anyone?

Hello I just got accepted for spring 2017 I am also looking for information, did you start the program, how is it so far? Do you have any tip.
Best wishes to you. I did not apply. If I did it would be for fall 2017. I'm probably not going to apply. I have full funding - tuition, fees, books, uniforms, supplies, etc...to attend our local community college ADN program. I would MUCH prefer to go the ABSN route since I already have a non-nursing bachelor's degree. But I absolute won't take on any debt that I don't have to. So I will go where my funding is. I wish I could go to Methodist's program though!
