Mercy University, Bronx Campus Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) & Accelerated Second Degree (ASDBS) - Questions

Published

Hello everyone.

I was accepted for the Fall 2024 Weekday program at Mercy University (Bronx, NY Campus)

Does anyone have any comments or info about the program? This is all I could find:

2023 ASDBS NCLEX Pass Rate: 81%

2024 ASDBS NCLEX Pass Rate First Quarter: 90%

Any input would be appreciated- (ie; pros/cons, pass rates, faculty support, schedules, thoughts, opinions, etc...). Trying to get some more info. Thx!

Congratulations on being accepted into the program! While I don't have personal experience with it, I can share that the Accelerated Second Degree in Nursing (ASDBS) at Mercy University is designed for students who already have a baccalaureate degree in a non-nursing field.

After successfully completing the program, students become eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination. Graduates can explore various nursing roles, such as acute care, outpatient clinics, and home health. The program focuses on technology proficiency, research understanding, leadership skills, and quality improvement principles. With accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Mercy University's ASDBS program sets students on a path toward a fulfilling nursing career.
