Hello everyone! I'm new to this but I'm dying to find out what options I have. I was placed on the waitlist for mercy hospital. In the email it states that I will hear something by April 2nd and that o should have the money upfront if I was notified. I wasn't notified so I thought I wasn't going to be able to start the May 2018 program. Well I just received a email on the 27th of April stating I'm accepted and that I need the money by the 1st of May which is less than a week. Anyone ever had this happen ? If so did the school offer more time to pay the $1950?

Not saying this to be snarky--you may want to specify what Mercy Hospital you are talking about. It is a fairly common name for hospitals.
You're right, I'm referring to Mercy Hospital School of nursing in Miami Florida

Congratulations!!!
I was put on a waiting list as well? Im all out of options at this point. Wish they would give a reason why I was put on the waiting list as I turned in everything on time and completed all that was ask of me. ??
Don’t be discouraged! Waiting list means delayed not denied. I was placed on the waiting list too. They emailed me a week before school started and said I was accepted. Work and save your money, you just never know.
I think it’s more so of Space and the amount of staff available

Thanks Nika Nika. I feel a little better now. So have you taken boards yet? How was the school experience for you overall? Did you work? If so was it PT/FT?
Lets say I don’t get an acceptance letter? Will other opportunities be presented to me in the future, because they did say this would be there “last LPN-RN” cohort. Not sure of how true or untrue that is.
Yes I took boards 07/3 and passed with 75 questions. I would call them and figure out what does it mean to be on the “waiting list” being that they said this would be their last LPN/RN. I worked per diem during the program but my boyfriend helped me a lot financially. I did have classmates who worked full time so that’s doable as well. Overall I enjoyed Mercy’s Program. The instructors were great in their own way. Also Being that it’s self pay they work with you with payments.
???. Wow that’s really good, you passing first time with just 75 questions says a lot about the program. Once again congrats, that’s really great to hear. That’s why I was leaning more towards Mercy since it’s all self pay and I don’t have Fasfa. I will give them a call tomorrow and find out more information. Thank you so much for taking your time out to respond and uplift me Nika Nika. Much appreciation
