Hi everyone,
I am looking for any information on the mental status examination.
I am presenting a power point presentation on monday to my class of second year nursing students on the aspects and components of the examination.
Mood and affect
speech characteristics
Perception
Thought
Sensorium and cognition
insight and judgment
stress and coping patterns
Does anyone have any tests that I could perform with the whole class for a classroom activity.
Any ideas you have would be appreciated :)

not sure these are what you are looking for, but they might give you some ideas:
http://www.gamesforgroups.com/therapeuticgames.htm - therapeutic games. click on the left side of the page to access instructions to games on coping, communication, self-discovery, self-esteem, teamwork, and anger management.
http://www.therapygames.com/products.html - therapeutic bingo. while this is an advertisement to buy the cards to play the various games, the idea is clearly related on the page, so a student could easily create his own version without having to buy the cards from the publisher. assertive communication, anger management, self-esteem, positive affirmations, stress management.
