   I am inquiring when transcribing predinison is decreasing dosage on the 7 day MAR; do you cross out the days not given. Ex. Predinison 30, 15 x 2 days. thanks!

   Thanks very much for the reminder. The prof will be giving us a list of dr orders to document and I just want to know which MAR and also where on the Kardex to document the correct dosage.

    The PCA I am referring to is the Patient Controlled Analgesia and I don't have confirmation if the med is being given by pump. I am studying for my final exam in Order Transcription for HUC. The prof gave us a list of meds to practice documenting.

    Would Fentanyl 25-50mg IV Q4H PRN go on the IV Therapy part of the Kardex or the PRN? Also, would it also be entered on the 7 day scheduled Meds and Infusions and/or on PCA MAR? I need to know for my final this Monday. Thanks! betty

12. transcribing Triangle Symbol in Dr orders?

    I have an assignment for IV Transfusions showing a triangle symbol Gentamycin to Flagyl in the Dr orders. I understand the triangle means change but how to transcribe this to the IV Therapy on the Kardex? Please let me know!!! Thanks Betty

    My question with filling out both the 7 and the 14 days MARS is what do you do when the list of meds is longer that the MARS itself? Do you use a new one for the same day? So confused; need to know for an assignment. Thanks!
