melmelmeow: I would be in touch with the financial aid's office, they are the ones that handle certification. they told me the certification process takes about 2 to 3 weeks…my loan company did things in reverse though, they approved me first and then sent out for certification, so the ball is in NYU's court.
you might have a slightly different deadline, since you do not get a bill until you're registered for classes…??? that's what I think. I did not get a bill until they registered me.

I took 7 pre reqs in 2 semesters. It was tough!

I am a mother of three and currently not working.
I took A&P 1 and 2 and nutrition over the summer and stats, chem, Developmental psych and micro over the fall.
It was very hard. I do not recommend taking A&P together with micro because both classes require a lot of memorization a and cover so much content. But that's just me.
I felt it was challenging but I made school and the kids my only priority, did not go out or net with friends or even went online much! I made it through with a 3.8
    Good luck!

Rach27 I have been taking pre-reqs at NYU for two semesters now and will start the clinical phase in January. I have heard from many students that the workload is pretty heavy and it gets worse as you progress into the program. We will have at least five classes per semester, some with Lab and recitation on top of the lecture, so even from the get go five classes I think it's a lot to handle and manage work too. I have a friend who is in her first semester and has been working at a bar, but she doesn't think she will be able to keep working even a mindless job for much longer.
    Hope that helps.

the program is about 80000…but not 86000, so maybe they are including room and board?

LM NY you pay per semester, approximately 21000

    yam582 congratulations on being accepted.
I do not think you have to take all pre-reqs at once.
I am currently taking four classes but to me AP and Micro together are a lot. Not impossible but a lot. I am taking Chem, Micro, Stats and Dev Psych and I am VERY busy. I have to be on top of Micro and Chem pretty much everyday.
I was pretty scared of taking four classes but had the same reasoning as you, if when starting the 15 month program I am going to have to handle 5, then why delay the inevitable? ha.
I think you should meet an advisor, they are very helpful. Also, AP and Nutrition are offered during the summer, I am sure you can take them then.
    Good luck

hopefulapplicant, early decision is just for freshman, not accelerated. they do have a priority deadline so that you hear earlier rather than later, but everyone who is not a freshman is regular decision. does that make sense? good luck to you and all!
