  1. I received about 18,000 in financial aid not including the scholarships I got (about 4,000 additional). As far as working on the weekends, it's almost impossible to do that the first semester b/c it's so intense. I do know that some people worked sum...
  2. For the stethoscope question: buy a littmann or MDF. Those two brands were the ones that we all had. I personally had MDF b/c I think it was cheaper and it works great. Never tried a Littmann so I can't say anything about that one, but it's popular t...
  3. Nbrown82 did a great job of answering your question, onewin77. I agree that this program isn't for everyone, but honestly I'm SO glad I did it this way! Either way in nursing school you're going to have to give up some portion of your previous fun li...
  4. Ours started Tuesday, January 17th so the next starting day will probably be Tuesday, January 15th. Just a guess though!

  9. You do get to pick your campus, but not the hospitals you rotate at. Although for this last semester if you were in Cinco Ranch you got a Katy hospital instead of Sugar Land so that was cool. For the Nursingcas question, send it to them only. And eve...
  10. Don't be discouraged!! Unfortunately you are unlikely to get anyone's response quickly since we are starting a brand new semester on Monday. It's so hectic at this time! Keep trying...don't give up!
  11. What is your overall GPA Kekebrwn?? I know it says Cumulative 3.0 on the website, but I got in! So I will encourage you all to still apply. I didn't ask how I got in, whether it was my NursingCAS statement, science GPA, or my amazing personality (hah...
  12. Definitely apply! I had a 2.91 GPA but my science GPA was 3.66....I had a 79% on my TEAS (I think!) and I got in!! If you get an interview, work your butt off to make them notice you! It worked for me!
  13. Send what you have if you have it. I didn't get CPR certified til I knew I got in in December. I however, did have my immunizations so I sent that in. I'd start the immunizations and send what you have if it asks for it.

  15. ABSN hopefully, The NCLEX rate that people are seeing (I haven't even looked or seen it) isn't the real pass rate. Dr. Tart, the dean of the school, explained it to us that since they graduate in December and take NCLEX January - March then some peop...
