   ICU does require a strong back, especially with pts that are intubated and sedated. I usually only requite help if moving them up in bed, but then again im 6 foot 280lbs and all MAN.

   We barely started using flexiseals in our unit last year, and now pts are accepting them. Have not needed to use nasal trumpets attached to foley bags anymore.

    Since you are from the houston area, lots of the larger hospitals have intern programs for new nurses. they try to expose you to all aspects of critical care while still having a preceptor making sure you dont get into trouble.
