I have checked the schedule for the Cochran campus and it lists 2 days clinicals. Yes, money for gas is a challenge. I don't think there are any grants for gas, though. Trying to avoid loans. Also, I do see well enough to drive in the dark, which w...

Thank you for responding. Taylor in Hawkinsville wouldn't be a problem. It's less than an hour from where I live. But, as far as having to drive over an hour, one-way to Perry, Dublin, Macon and Warner Robins is just too much. So unless I could do ...

Thank you for your response. I kept thinking Taylor in Hawkinsville looked pretty new and there appears to be outlying components to the hospital, i.e. a Wellness Center. Looked much larger than 36 beds.

I didn't realize Taylor was so small. It looks huge from the road. We are talking about Taylor in Hawkinsville, right? Not the little state-run hospital in Cochran. I live pretty far south of Hawkinsville. This is the challenge: Driving 70 miles ...

Thank you gninab. It seems strange that Taylor in Hawkinsville is only 15 miles or so from the school, so I would have thought that would be at least one of the places they had clinicals. Macon and Warner Robins are over an hour from me and Dublin is...

Finally an answer! Thank you so much. It's interesting that they don't do clinicals at Taylor in Hawkinsville, or maybe they do. Cochran is a 70 mile round trip for me just to go to school. My challenge is the cost of gas, so I was wondering how ...
I know I keep asking this, but I can't seem to get a reply, so here goes, again. If anyone is attending or has attended Middle Georgia College, can you tell me where you do/did your clinicals? Thanks, Raineylane

Thank you for replying. I was beginning to think MGC was either in a black hole of the universe or a myth! I know this may be a strange question, but what hospitals did you do your clinicals in?

To all of you on this thread: Were you successful in getting in? If so, how's it going? I am considering applying here, as well. Any information would be great.
Athens seemed to be okay. It is better than the surrounding towns. I know they have Athens Regional and St. Mary's and several medical facilities there. However, if you ended up in the Commerce or Winder Area, then you have my condolences. In the...
Yeah, I just moved from north of Atlanta. I was more in the Athens area just prior to moving. I moved to middle Ga. Ga's economy has suffered severely. I never dreamed that nursing jobs were so hard to come by here. I may be rethinking my plans a...

Albany seems to be a nice town. I say "seems" because I moved away many years ago and have just recently been back there. It has certainly grown since I was there. Lots of new construction and businesses. There is probably anything you'd ever want,...

One more thing and I'll leave you alone. I mentioned that Phoebe has satelite locations. I don't know if they might be considering you for a job at one of those satelites. I also mentioned that they were opening a new one 30 miles from me, in Fitz...
