I think the instructors try to put those types of questions on test's to get you to think outside of the box. Also, I am you need to think in that the question is "in a perfect world"....
You need to take a NCLEX review it sounds like and maybe cut back on the hours you work. Where are you located? There are several reviews out there that you can take.

Your skills may be up to par, however, two different scopes of practice. I would be afraid to challenge the RN-NCLEX without nursing classes. As a RN you need to know your scope.

I have also heard of baroreceptor therapy. Instructors at my school said that they heard of it and from what they heard is you have the therapy and the habit is gone. I wonder if it is worth a try.
