For those admitted into the program, can you give me information on how the program is set up? I want to know if all the classes are face to face. I would really like a program that has web based coursework and I go to campus for things like clinical...
  2. My PT called 911

LOL. Of course she called 911. Didn't you know your badge says RN for a reason? Refreshments and Narcotics. I'm awaiting management to add WB&R beside my letters (Warm Blanket and Remote)
  3. Conscious Sedation in ED

I would say that considering the intent was for a reduction of a shoulder dislocation, regardless of medication administration, a consent would need to be obtained for that procedure (closed joint reduction of (left/right) shoulder dislocation). The ...

  9. Trauma Nursing, Paramedics, and the ER

No, paramedics work as techs in my local ED's and they are unable to administer medications. Also, if you want to be a Registered Nurse, you might as well save your schooling for that. In Florida, RN's are able to challenge the Paramedic certificatio...

75 credit hours for prereqs? That cant be right, previous degree?
  11. Only 9 credits- how can I get full financial aid?

We are encouraged to enroll in simple one or two credit courses such as health fitness to make up for the credit hours
  12. New Nursing Student- Anxiety?

My gosh! 15 days!!! Thats it??? We found out back in March and we've had orientation and now we have 3 months to prepare! I feel for you I'd be wigging out as well if I only had 15 days to prepare! But you will do fine, just breathe.
  13. Straight B student?

Most nursing schools require you to maintain higher than a B average while in the program. Anything short of that and you fail out of school. Try to form study groups/partners. Looking into better ways to study etc. Try to get that GPA up higher. The...
  14. How long to stay at a job you don't like?

If you dont like the job and you have given it a decent chance, then you should start to find new employment and when found, put your 2 weeks in. No reason on wasting your time, or the time and money of your employer. Life is too short to not enjoy ...
