So I just talked to ----. She said there is still 42 students that need to be interviewed. i am one of them =] She said its just so hectic that they're trying to get everything together before they call these students to setup interviews. So all hope isn't lost yet!

Oooh I see. for spring, I didn't even get an interview =/. Which was why I was surprised to get that phone call. I got a score of 8.39. The woman told me that the cuttoff was 8.55. so i missed it by 0.16 =/. Would you mind telling me your score for spring?

I got the same call too. From what I was told, for the Fall 2011 pool, only 25 CSULB students applied and there was more than enough room to fill in the CSULB student seats, and due to the budget cut, they'll will be accepting more CSULB students over transfters, so transfers are still accepted. So basically, they're calling back CSULB students who met the cut off line for Fall 2011 cohort, who either got rejected or was on the alternate list from spring 2011. Hope that cleared things up.

Did you get called back for an interview? What is your score?

yeah especially if the due date was feb 15th and they already sent out rejection letters and conducted interviews? so weird..

Hey guys I applied for the spring 2011 cohort and got rejected. i got like an 8.6 or something like that. So I decided to not apply for the fall 2011. Instead I applied to CSULA. BUT this morning I got a call from the nursing department asking for me to fill out an application so that they can set up an interview with me. Any ideas on as to why this would happen? I have friends who already got rejection letter and I see that you guys had interviews a month ago. I know the app was due Feb 15th! Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled that they called me and asked for me to apply. I'd love to attend CSULB nursing program and was heartbroken when I was rejected for the spring. But I just don't get why me??

Any word on the number of applicants they will accept this cohort?

    Hey Icy,
Do you remember the score you received on your app?
Would you say a person with a score of 22-23 has a good chance of getting in?

ooh okay phew well thanks! you scared me for little bit right there because i think my cum GPA is my weak point. Every time I check my mail, my heart stops.

that's correct. They didn't have an exact number of students admitted till after the ranking process. It is determined by the number of applicants applying and the number eligible for admission (competitive GPAs vs non competitive GPAs and whether or not the TEAS was submitted on time.)

I heard that quite a few of my friends received letters of disqualification or denial a week or two ago. So it is showing that they are ranking as we speak.

If you didn't get a letter, you have survived the first phase of the application process.
only 2 weeks left (march 23rd) til the ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE COMMENCES FINAL RANKING PROCESS.
what do u mean competitive GPA? i thought as long as you meet the requirement you're good. i have a 3.2 cum GPA with a 3.67 prereq gpa. So am are my GPAs considered "competitive"?

I recently posted that i got a letter of disqualification because they "didn't receive" my TEAS scores. I called and showed proof so Monica said that i'm fine and still qualified. But the letter didnt metion anything about a problem with my GPA, so I should be fine right?

Are you saying we should know if we're accepted in two weeks or that they'll starting picking in two weeks?

So today I went to hand in my verification of employment letter. I spoke to Monica and she remembered my name and thanked me for sending in the scores so i guess i'm good =]

She went onto say that they still haven't been given the number of how many students they may let in, but as soon as they do they'll be able to start picking. Keep those fingers crossed!

I'm freaking out now. I sent them the score for the regular version V.
when I sent her the email that I was talking about she didn't mention any problems?
