   You are correct the patient is not going to recieve all the medicine until you flush the line if there are no running ivs. I agree with others and say dilute everything.

   I recently was taking care of a patient not knowing he was HIV positive. I gave him IV meds through an IV heplock without gloves? Should I be worried or tested?
