I am an ED nurse working in a busy Los Angeles area trauma center. I also occasionally work as an ACLS instructor. Prior to nursing, I worked as an EMT in Los Angeles County for 10 years.
In my down time, I love scuba diving, surfing, hiking, cycling, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
As the other poster mentioned, if you took the test in a group of 100 people, you would do better than 97 of them... Not bad. No need to retake. Congrats and best of luck in getting in!!
ATI has online tests available on their site. Make sure that you take the version that is appropriate for the one that you are taking. They are really expensive (around $30 each if I remember correctly), but they are the only ones I found to be true ...

Oliveira1: I was applying to several schools. One only accepted v5; the other only accepted v4. Bsnwnab: I would say yes because that is what I did and I actually did better on v4 (which is much easier in my opinion), but I would strongly recommend ...

I took 5 about a month ago and 4 this morning. I definitely would say that they made Version 5 a decent amount more difficult and also a great deal more relevant to nursing practice in the science and mathematics sections. I took the online assessm...
Think of the first online practice test as more of an assessment. If you are planning on studying from the TEAS V book, the assessment will tell you what areas in each subject that you need to study up on. Best of luck!!
I used both the study guide and the online practice tests. The practice tests provide you with a list of areas you need to work on that correlate to the topics in the study guide. Very handy! I ended up scoring a 76 overall adjusted on the first pr...

I would recommend against taking the science prereqs online unless you have a decent amount of science/healthcare background. They can be pretty daunting courses even in a school environment.

I work in a busy urban emergency department as a technician, and I would have to say that there is a world of difference between that and working on a floor. While you still are fetching water and wiping butt, you also need to do a great deal in ass...
