There aren't lists A & B. Some people were wrongly disqualified so they were put back in the place they should've been. Does anyone know how high the alternate list is? More than 10, 20?
I know someone who is #28 on alt list so there is at least that many!!
They will probably let alot of them in after the holidays if enough people drop,,
I hope they get alternates in soon because my friends are waiting to be notified!!

Yeah.....I'm back in the running; they approved my appeal and put me on the list as an alternate. Have you guys heard of many people not taking their spot they were selected for or of any of the alternates being selected already?
My friend was also disqualified but then won his appeal. He is now in the program not an alternate
I wonder why they put u as an alternate then?? Well hopefully u get in,,
My other friends on the alternate list did not get in yet but it's still early
    In the game

Hey guys, do we need to finish these vaccinations before we start this semester??
Yes we must have them all done before we start clinicals. This is required by the hospitals.

OMG GUYS. I've made the most horrible mistake!!! I forgot to register yesterday for my classes and now the registration system is down for the holiday! and no one is at the nursing office !!!! OMGGG will this disqualify me!!!?!?!? OMG IM FREAKING OUT SO BAD RIGHT NOW......
Don't worry, u can register on Monday morning,,,they leave enough spots for everyone in the nursing program.
You will just have to take whatever is left for clinicals. Looks like your choices are Manteca or Tracy.
Relax and have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!:redpinkhe

I was in the same situation. I just registered now. It wouldn't let me so I called the office, phone rang for a couple minutes before they picked up and they took care of it quickly. If you haven't done it yet, just be ready with your codes and log in and call the office right when your appt time starts.

I'm in the Fri/Sat clinical at San Joaquin. I guess a lot of people didn't want this one because it's on the weekend. Personally I prefer it because it gives me more availability to work on weekdays and means I at least only have to drive to Stockton (plus no traffic on Saturdays). But I'm probably a little older and more settled down than many of you so I guess Saturdays don't mean a lot to me anymore.

Anyone else living in Sacramento doing the Fri/Sat clinical. I guess we can work it out when all meet eac but I definitely want to get a carpool going.
Yeah I'm thinking the Fri/Sat may be a better choice for some....I may do that later in the program....I am older and settled down too...at least I only would need help on Fri to get my son to school.....since my husband travels a lot with his job....
sorry I live in Stockton and so glad I don't have to commute but the clinical mornings are going to be tough for me!
Hope you can get a carpool going soon!

I am registered at Dameron. I'm looking forward to meeting you all. I'm just hoping I can get ALL of my immunizations and health clearance finished in time. I don't have any immunizations yet. So I'm a little worried about that with the holiday season upon us.
I'm a Dameron too...I'm lucky...got all my immunizations and CPR done over the summer when I got my EMT.
Now I can just relax and enjoy the holidays!!!

Does anybody else need to take the CPR class? Is it usually like a day?
No mine was less than 4 hrs,,, really easy unless u have people in your class that are slow learners,,,Enjoy!

They are new instructors for Delta I hear.

No they just started offering Fri/Sat classes.
I did not want to give up my weekends so I did not choose it.
I may however end up with a Fri/Sat clinical next time.
    Either way it's all good!!

Does anyone know if the orientation is mandatory? I want to go but I think I will have to work that day.
I would call the office and ask them....
It would definitely be to your benefit but I don't believe it's a deal breaker.
You would have to go to the nursing office and pick up all the paperwork you missed at orientation then.

Hey, So has anyone got the letter to send in their immunizations yet? What's the next step from here? I feel like I'm behind without sending in my immunizations and survey. I want to meet with the NSC as soon as possible. Lol.
No nothing yet. They are behind the schedule so we must wait. They may make us wait until orientation to give us this info.
I'm with you,,,so wanting to get this rolling!

I was wondering what kind of stethoscope you guys were going to purchase. I want a good one but not sure how much to spend. Any advice?

I bought this Littman on Amazon for $30.00 and it worked well for me in my EMT training.
    Here is the link: http://amzn.com/B001CCINO0
It also has good reviews on Amazon...
I think it is a great stethoscope for nursing students,,,,and I will buy a more $$$$ Littman after I graduate...

Well today is the day that all those who were accepted accept or decline their spots.
I hope all our alternates get in!
Best of luck to all our alternates and hope you all get in soon!

Has anybody purchased their mal-practice insurance yet? If so, I was wondering if you chose the RN, or the LPN option
You need to pick the RN one since that is the program you will be in!
