  1. Pharmacists refusing to fill orders for The Pill

My opinion is that the dude (or dood) should be fired. She had her B/C filled there in the past and then, all of a sudden with no prior notification, she was denied her scrip. The method I use to voice my opinion on these matters is to make it a p...
  2. Pharmacists refusing to fill orders for The Pill

OMG, I've said that many times! :rotfl:
  3. 'Moral values' and organ donation

We were just discussing this exact thing at my office today. I agree that quality of life should be a factor. Sometimes there is no way to know what the recipient's quality of life will be post-transplant. Many times, though, the quality of life i...
  4. 'Moral values' and organ donation

You didn't read what I wrote, did you? "I think it is very safe to assume that the same folks that voted for him (or Kerry for that matter) are not organ donors." I'll explain again. I've said it at least 3 times that MOST PEOPLE are not organ dono...
  5. 'Moral values' and organ donation

That's wonderful, but you are only one person. Most people don't donate.
  6. 'Moral values' and organ donation

I never said Bush was against organ donation! Please don't get that started! I'm just saying that Bush supporters (a lot of them) say they voted for him based on moral issues, yet most of them will not donate organs (statistically speaking). I'm ...
  7. 'Moral values' and organ donation

This is such an interesting thread! You guys certainly have some informative and interesting things to say about this subject! Sorry I haven't been more involved in the discussion, but I've had some other things pulling me away from the board. Plu...
  8. 'Moral values' and organ donation

Hey, thanks to whoever it was that referred me to http://www.unos.org. I've been reading the memorials for the past hour or so at http://www.donormemorial.org and some of them are just heartwrenching. Gives me chills. I realize it's a difficult de...
  9. Dealing with Birthmoms & Adoptive moms

Congratulations! I hope everything goes well for you and the baby. What a wonderful Christmas gift!
  10. 'Moral values' and organ donation

By the way, I didn't start this thread to change anyone's minds, so I just didn't see any reason to put sugar-coating on my feelings on this matter. I'm so sorry if I offended anyone. Obviously, if I were trying to convince people to donate, I woul...
  11. 'Moral values' and organ donation

Thank you all for your responses. I totally agree that it is a personal decision. I don't care whether we go the opt-out or opt-in route because either gives people the opportunity to make their wishes known. I'm not really trying to judge people ...
  12. Ok, I know that organ donation has been discussed here more than once, but I couldn't find anything that addressed my particular question/issue........so here goes. In this year's presidential election, many of the exit polls showed that people voted...
  13. Why do some nurses do this? And why are they allowed to?

:roll :rotfl: Well put! I love it!
  14. College degrees in addition to Nrsg?

I'm not an LPN, but I have a BS in zoology and now pursuing my BSN. I graduated the first time in 1993, so the first classes I took were in 1989, and they are giving me credit for them, no questions asked.
  15. How much debt would/did you incur for school?

Ditto for the above responses. I still owe $$ from my first degree and now I'm borrowing more for my BSN. Unfortunately, that's just one of the downfalls of going to school in the US and I guess in Canada, too. It stinks, but like everyone else is...
