   i dont know how other places are ...but am telling u LTC is very very stressful job.. either u take up night shift or you go to alzheimers unit..but working AM shift and PM shift is like hell..it will wear you out ..may be other people have more pote...

   even if the resident has been sent out to hospital ..and nothing found out...even then the resident is on neurochecks Q shift for 14 days and on charting Q shift for 14 days ... yesterday 15 of the 30 residents on my wing were on alert charting.:r...

   i was given a writ up for being absent (calling in sick with medical leave ) for 3 days in 7 months period....and i was like what the hell is this for and my on was like ....you know we have a policy to give writ up if you are absent for 3 days in...

   in my facility policy is to send the resident to the hospital for every unwitnessed fall even if the patient falls twice in 1 shift u have to send them to the hospital ...and i have done it no matter what the ambulance think, what the hospital thin...

   never forget to order the Xray , it will take 5-10 minutes but u save yourself doing this.......
