I have taken the nclex twice...failed got 85 on the first test, all 265 on the second. I thought the Nclex questions were harder than Kaplans and I was predicted to pass according to Kaplan but I haven't yet. I am sitting for my third time June 30th. Reading Saunders
Thank you Acetone!
So I am in a very similar boat as you Blessed! I have taken the Nclex two times. I got 91 questions the fist time and then took it again a year later and failed with 265 questions. At least I know I did better the 2nd time! I graduated June of 08 and am now taking the Nclex for the 3rd time! I actually quit my current job and am studying everyday full time, everything I can possibly study. I got Nclex 4000, Kaplan, Ncsbn, and flashcards and am just trying to study everything I possibly can. It is very overwhelming. I am going to take my boards in the end of June.
Hi I am taking the Nclex a month from now and I was going through some practice questions on NCSBN and came across a question that informed me that you CAN delegate tracheostomy dressing care to a UAP. There is nothing in my Kaplan book or Saunders book that says you can delegate this task. I know a nurse cannot delegate educating, assessment, and other certain nursing tasks, but if I was to get this question on the NCLEX i would get it wrong. Does anyone know what kind of tasks other then ambulation, feeding, bathing, and transfering that a UAP can do? Or possibly know of a website that will tell me?
