    Hi, I am a new nurse (grad may 08) and only working 3 months. We never had to do NG tubes to eachother. We never even practiced on a dummy. Good luck to you in nursing school and in the future.
  6. Unsafe Nurse-to-Patient Ratio

    Sometimes on my unit people can get up to 13-14 patients. So far the max I'v had is 12 which is still ridiculously overwhelming! I hate when that happens! I can have up to 8 and be comfortable, any more than 8 and it's hard for me to handle.

    I took a job on tele doing days. I wish I had done nights for all of the reasons you stated. It's much easier for a new nurse to learn how to be a nurse at night than on days.
