@RN in USA. I got my registration from AHPRA.. currently in Sydney.. will start work tomorrow actually.. You need to call them!! THey take FOREVER! I submitted my application in march.. didnt hear anything .. called them in june.. they said it hadn't even begun to be processed yet.. but that they would move it along... then i was told i needed to get a letter from my high school stating I was taught and assessed in english.. and then submit an outline of all my coursework.. and i was approved.. the first week of august. Hope this helps. Where are you looking to work in Oz?

Good to hear.. what type of ward did they place you in? I arrived in australia about 2 weeks ago.. currently trying to find a job.. i was offered a job through an agency over here healthstaff recruitment.. but for some reason its taking a long time for them to issue me a letter of offer.. i guess all the paperwork is taking longer then i expected. im eager to start working. .making money.. and see what australia has to offer.. so is it really that different over here?

hey anne1, not sure the exact code but the application is for overseas RN. download the form.. and start working on obtaining all the documents it entails. no u do not need to take the ielts test. I had to send a letter from my high school stating i was taught and assessed in english.. and i was exempt. any other questions let me know... such hell ahpra was.. make sure u have everything EXACTLY the way they want it. good luck!

@US2oz.. dont worry about your visa.. as long as you got all your blood taken.. the medical exam you should hear within the next couple weeks.. after i had the medical part done, my visa was granted within i think it was 1-2 weeks.. such a quick and easy process it was! Yeah i emailed her today.. she told me she expects to email me next week with the outcome of my assessment.. i hope that outcome is YES approval.. if its not i think my head might explode! Good luck with everything and your visa.. we may be on the same flight together at this rate! Haha keep me posted.
