   this used to happen to me all the time. you need to clamp the piggy back line before spiking the new bag. haven't had a problem since, unless of course the previous bag went completely empty.

   you might want to check the policies with your nursing school before you invest in this. my school wouldn't allow any recording devices because of patient confidentiality reasons (when they use examples in class). looks pretty cool though!
