Don't give up hope! I completed most of my prereq's, I had a great GPA, I applied early, and I was STILL placed on a waiting list. But guess what, some people dropped out, or didn't accept so I got in anyway!
I guess I was lucky, my insurance paid for the physical and blood work. Now if they would only pay for my uniform, shoes, stethascope... :roll Yea right
None for me, it's all out-of-pocket. The only way I can get reimburssed is if I chain myself to my job (I'm a CNA in a nursing home) as an RN for 2 full years after graduation. No thanks.
Well I've been doing pre-reque's for 3 semesters, but I begin my nursing classes in August. So far I'm signed up for Intro to nursing and nursing seminar (theory). I still have to take speech (pre-reque) so I may take that this fall too.
