Has everyone tried indeed.com. Went there the other day and they had almost 900 jobs posted for RN. This was West Palm Beach, Florida. Also try searching for RN new Grad.

The community college is the cheapest. Yes, some may or may not have a waiting lists but for me its better to wait sixmonth to a year to go to school for $3k than to go to school right away for 15-40k. Yes. Those are real private nursing school prices.

Also register with Maxim there a nursing agency the pay is cheap at 18/hr but they have lots of work. Actually register with several agencies. Also go to indeed.com type in RN new grad in your search window. Some places are hiring new grads only.

I would love to hear the answer to this also.

So what your saying is that after you get a NPI number your able to bill Medicare directly. Without having to go through an agency.

At my hospital we have a little hammer in the med room. The pills are hammered/crushed in the package they come in and are opened at the bedside.

I am a RN and I work full time at a major hospital. The population we treat are poor and uninsured. I would like to find a private duty job outside of an agency. No reason to give the agency half of my paycheck. I know most people find private cases from there job. However if you cant what are your other options?

I registered with several agencies that have Never Provided me with work. Like 20 months ago. However I always had a full time job and agency work was always per diem. My belief is that they want to be overstaffed rather than understaffed. Heaven forbid they should get a job offer and not have any staff. Bty most of these agencies ADVERTISED for nurses.

Regarding Maxim. The pay sucks but I know two people who work there and they just started like a month ago and they both have full time jobs. One is working 5 12 hour shifts a week and get paid overtime. I would say try Maxim, a lousy employer is better than no employer. This is S.Fl Bty.

I completly agree. We are all adults. If you dont have an answer to the question then skip the post. I am am so sick of the holier than thou attitude of some of the posters on this site. What is wrong with wanting to know the maximum you can make after eight years of schooling?

There are many good nurses out there with 1-30 years of expereince who are always happy to help, always happy to teach, who remember what it was like to be a new nurse and cut you a lot of slack. And then.....there are the b***ches.

There are nurses out there that go out of there way to make you feel stupid. To make you question your intelligence, and during report ask questions that no one would even think of asking and lecturing your when you dont know the answer. Heaven forbid you should say let me check the chart. No, you should know the chart back to front with 8 patients on a Med Surg. There are nurses out there that take pleasure in making you feel small because it makes them feel big.

Being a good nurse does not equal being a good person. Ignore them they are bullies and they are mean. Do your work, take care of your patients and continue to learn and grow as a RN.
