   I also applied recently and was declined. I barely missed the cutoff and it had to do with my essay score (which was about the same as yours). I met with a counselor to find out what the faculty is looking for, but she didn't give me any information....

   I scored a 98 on math and 85 on reading with a composite score of 92%. It ended up being 99th percentile. I had to do an essay and I won't get that result until my acceptance/rejection letter... it's driving me nuts!
