  2. Case Managers???

I have worked with both scenarios. I like being the field nurse and the case manager. That way, I know everything going on with the patient and in some cases, the family. I just don't think that someone in the office, who has never seen the patien...
  3. Help!

I'm glad you'll give us another shot! And I'm glad they are going to orient you with someone else. Yes, I wear scrubs. There is nothing else quite as comfortable to work in for me. (besides, I have a zillion). Coming from the ICU myself, I find ...
  4. Help!

For some reason, I have seen nurses in all areas (HH, ICU etc) do this. I think that they have some strong psych issues to make themselves feel better or more superior at the expense of others. Please do not judge all HH nurses by this one's action...

I agree with all the above. I wouldn't do anything else!!!! Pam

  8. Weekly Client Requirements?

Hi healinghands, Welcome to the world of HH! In my agency we just went to CM. I have worked for another agency where we did CM so it wasn't difficult for me to make the transition. Some of the other RNs are having a hard time with it though. I lik...
  9. Fingerstick Protimes

We use them all the time. I have had good and bad results with them. Sometimes I have to stick more than once. As a whole though, I would say that I like having the results right then and can call and get change in dosages.
  10. Calling all HH Nurses, roll call

good Lucck to you. I've been in HH for 3 yrs now from the ICU and love it. The only difference you should face as an RN is the paperwork (yuk). It's so great though, the patients make up for the paperwork Good Luck, again! Pam
