I am 22 yr. old female and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with my BSN just a few weeks ago. I am currently studying for the NCLEX so any advice is welcome! I am engaged and still live with my parents and sister.

    only 1 week of orientation in a nursing home is not acceptable to me. where i am from its usually 6-8wks and you can ask for more if you feel like you need it, this is for a hospital. it should be no different in a nursing home...i think that's kind...

    I got mine in two weeks. I made sure I signed up and such before graduation but it sounds like you are on top of that! I don't think it will be long for you but I'm sure it varies from state to state. Good luck and wish me too!
