Hi there - all I really have to say is good luck. However, I think that you need to understand that once you become a nurse helping people is a wonderful thing and if it makes you feel good about helping then great but if you are expecting gratitude and thank yous from you patients more often thatn not it is an expectation from them so do not be disheartend when you think you have given every inch of your being that day to help someone and all they do is turn up their noses at you - it really isnt you more often they really are just grumpy people. Give your all but dont always expect soemthing in return.
Peace and love all the best
I am a little confused and not really sure what to do. I found out I passed my NCLEX on 4/24 was really excited, I went to my current job where I have been working as an ER tech for the last year and couple of months while in nursing school. Now that I am finished with this chapter I went to them to get a job. Yah they want to hire me but the Mac Program/ER Academy does not start until August. Great - my husband says that I have the rest of my life to be a nurse so dont rush it but I am ready - I believed that I have worked hard and now I want to be a nurse, not just a nurse on paper. What suggestions do you have for me that I could possibly do in the meantime considering I have no experience, if anything at all, or should I just patient and wait until August. I do have other options job wise but the System I work for is very good and will also pay for my Masters degree.
Hi ketcia1908 - I wanted to let you know my good news I am officially an RN with no experience LOL! Thanks for the word of encouragement. Good luck.
I hope all went well with your exam and that you find out soon - Good luck to you as well and all the best. Look forward to hearing from you with your great news.
Guys thanks for all the words of encouragement it was definitely good to know that you have support so far away but yet we all have one thread in common - wanting to be a nurse or you already are. And today I found I am a registered nurse - YAHOOOOOOOO!!!! - Now I have to learn to be a real nurse and not a book nurse I have been told. :hatparty: :roll
Hi there - i honestly cannot give you any great news I took it today and it was hard as hell I feel like school or studying did not prep me for what they had in store for me. All I can say is take your time, take a deep breath and just go for it. That is all you can do. All the best.
Hi everyone, I see that alot of people participate in this site and thought some one could ease my anxiety some - I took the NCLEX today and without a doubt I have never felt so horrible in my life I feel like I failed. I have never seen some of these questions in my life, it was difficult and just absolutely horrible. I have never been so jittery, nauseated and just downright depressed - HELP!!!!!! - Worried, worried and more worried.
