I currently work as HH field nurse PRN, and full time Med/Surg nurse.

Wow, Tewdles, I need to shut up, lol! Wow, thanks for putting my meager patient load in prospective, as they say, somebody has always got it worse than you. My gosh I think I would have a nervous breakdown if I had to do what you did, it sounds horri...
  8. Would you be a nurse if you knew then, what you know now?

Well, I would still be a nurse! I had probably 10 different jobs before I went to nursing school, I started out as an LPN and then got a hospital sponsored scholarship for AD RN. Personally, I love people and I love nursing. I suppose if my situation...
  9. So overwhelmed..any advice?

Well, I am still hanging in there, keep looking and no home health agencies to work at unless going to Atlanta metro area and frankly, that's not a commute I can make and then continue driving. I have to say that the paperwork is becoming easier as I...

  11. Burned Out?

Wow do you sound like me. I cried so hard last week, my husband told me to call my super the next day and put in my 2 week notice. So, I stayed home all day, did some yoga, and tried to relax. This week-end was much better. I also feel soooo tired o...
  12. This is the end of this nightmare for me!!

Wow this sounds like a job I had several years ago in a small hospital, I worked 3-11 shift, by the time I got finished trying to care for my patients, who by the way had not had very good care during the day, I was working until 1-2 am on the charti...

  15. So overwhelmed..any advice?

I agree, shift work is much better, but they didn't even offer me the choice. And down south, the home health care agencies are few, and with small towns, the DOO all seem to know each other here too. I am really beginning to dislike working as a nur...
