  1. Handling chauvinistic male charge nurse

Discriminatory behavior is illegal and inappropriate, your religious beliefs are not. Subtle difference, but an important one. Even if your beliefs lead you to inappropriate behavior, it is the behavior that is on trial, not the beliefs. (At least...
  2. Handling chauvinistic male charge nurse

I didn't realize you worked in Australia. I have no idea what is legal and illegal there, so my comments reflect what is legal in the United States. In America we are free to think/act/believe according to our religion in any setting, including the...
  3. Handling chauvinistic male charge nurse

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Unfortunately, none of his behavior is illegal. You are, under law, allowed to be a jerk. Now, if his behavior is threatening or somehow inhibits you from feeling safe, then you may have a case. But we all work wit...
  4. Sketchers

I love my new pair of ShapeUps. Can't believe how much better my knees and feet feel at the end of the day. I'm a big dude, 6'3" tall and 200lbs, so I'm hard on my shoes. These are the best I've had so far, but I'm only 3 days in. I'm curious to ...

I have three online classes at OU too. My email is on my profile, feel free to shoot me an email and let me know who you are. Or you can send me a private message and let me know that way too... My hunch is that we have at least one of the those cl...
  8. Any 2nd degree students or Oakwood Hospital workers?

Interesting kcleavinit... I'm starting the 2nd degree program in May at OU, and we didn't have to interview at the hospital, just with OU. But we'll be working at St. Johns, not Oakwood. Good luck to you!
  9. 2nd Degree WSU or Oakland???

TLC_RN, thanks so much for the info! I'm starting the program this May, so it was great to hear your feedback. Everyone at the school keeps saying how intense it is, and that you can barely breathe. Glad to hear that it's only partly true. And b...
