  2. Tarrant County College students out there?

This is totally not true at all. I had Bs in both A&Ps and in Chemistry and an A in Micro and I got in just fine. In fact my final GPA was only a 3.5 I believe. Granted, I did extremely well on the TEAS, but they're all looked at when you appl...
  3. Tcc Nursing

I am currently in my third semester at TCC and I got in with 3 Bs and an A in my science classes. I had an overall GPA of 3.5. Do not believe the hype. Yes, it greatly increases your chances to have better grades, but it is not the end of the worl...

  5. TCC Spring 2008 Applicants?

I can personally verify that it is possiblt to get into TCC with a GPA of 3.2. My TEAS scores were in the 98th percentile though. When I applied for last spring, I still had 2 pre-reqs to go so I was only put on the waitlist. When I applied again ...
  6. Anyone Here Have Social Anxiety?

I have social anxiety as well and I know that there really is no "mind over matter," at least not with me. I don't want to freak out about being around new people, but I do! It only used to bother me in large crowds, but since becoming a stay at ho...

  8. How much will your education cost you?

I'm done with all of my pre-reqs (all of which I've paid with cash as I've gone) so all I have left is nursing school. Ours (ADN program) lists a total of $5000.00 which includes graduation fees. Not too shabby!
  9. I personally worked a 40+ hour a week job during most of my pre-reqs (including ALL of my sciences) and I did just fine. That being said, I have since become a stay-at-home mom and will stay that way through nursing school, which I start in the Fall....
  10. Tarrant County College Acceptance Letters

The only other class I took at NE was Micro...and that was only for a few weeks in the Fall of '05. I was pregnant and got diagnosed with gallstones. We weren't allowed to miss more than one lab without losing major points so I just dropped it. Oh...
  11. Tarrant County College Acceptance Letters

I took Carmichael too for both classes and I LOVED her! She really made it a point to make sure everyone understood before she moved on. Plus, she was incredibly approachable. Jaxia - when did you take her? I had her Fall '04 and Spring '05.
  12. TCC bookstore - what's wrong with them?

I always buy mine online too. Whenever I'm in the bookstore getting ISBN's, I put them into my phone so it looks like I'm sending a text message. I know they can't kick you out or anything for doing it, I'd just rather they not know at all! I can't...
