Well schools here are pretty good.... I would go private if you can afford it. Personally I would go with CMC as a hospital. Many hospitals in NC will help you further your education if you would like, so don't feel as if presby is the only one.

Yes Winston Salem does pay more... But what is there to do in Winston Salem... I am from up that way, and there is ABSOLUTELY nothing to do there, other than go to the mall. Charlotte has many more things to offer. I live here now and love it.
