hello!where can i follow up the status to know if the NM BON already received my TOR? my school sent the TOR to NM BON but i haven't send them yet my application. i am from the Philippines. is there a certain span of time where i must complete all my processing of application from the time i sent them my TOR? hope anyone can help me here..thanks alot!
First, there is not compact license for you, you are not in the US and do not have a legal residency here. The compact license is essentially not available to you as you do not meet the requirements for it. You must maintain a legal residence in that state, which means paying rent on an apt there, and paying taxes there, which you ar not doing now. Therefore, it does not exist. And for any foreign nurse that is not already in the US and actually living in NM when they apply for the license.
MD requires that you pass an English exam as well and have the CES, those are two things that you will need to have when you apply for Licensure by Endorsement.
The compnact license rule does not apply for you if you are not a current resident in the US and in New Mexico.
hello!i'm planning to have my evaluation in NM and i heard they give fast results from eligibility to ATT.I have no plans of having the local boards here in the philippines bcoz i'm planning to work in the states.my target location is Maryland but the state needs CES (which requires license verification from the country of nursing education).Since NM and MD are compact state,I decided to get an evalution from NM (which does not require CES) and be licensed there as soon as i pass the NCLEX.And if I pass, I am planning to transfer in MD.however,I worried about the CES requirement for licensure by exam of MD.is it possible that i transfer in MD once i get licensed to NM even if i didn't have their CES?does this apply to the compact state rule?i hope i could get an answer..thanks!
i am also planning to apply for licensure by exam in NM.i believe NM doesnt require CEs coz it's their BON who's going to evaluate for our credentials.however, i am planning to work in maryland.but maryland does require CES.my question is, is it possible if i will have my application in NM since both of them belongs to the compact state and be able to work in maryland through just going there even without endorsement? or i'd still be needing the CES if ever i will transfer in maryland? coz if im not mistaken, compact state means that there is no endorsement required anymore if you're going to tranfer to the state which also belongs to the compact.is this possible?i hope someone cud give me answer on this.thank u!
why are you chosing the other profession when in fact you are a nurse? you should have chosen to be a doctor instead. it's a matter of who knows better in different areas.a nurse is more skillful than doctors most especially in saving lives right on the spot! but for doctors, they are more better in prescribing medicines hehehehe...
both are good. one can not work without the other.we are allied, we are team! so there's no reason to find out who's better or not coz both have roles in promoting the wellness of a person.it's similar with a boat and a paddle, one can't work without the other most especially if the water is very still (pertains to the patient near death).so i salute both.
I looked at my friends comprehensive review book that she has today and it only has 25 questions at the end of each chapter. How do you guys practice the questions? Is there a lot that comes on the cd rom or something? I always thought doing questions was the best way to pass. I'm a little confused here.
i think this is a blessing for me to know that someone is also feeling the same way as i do.i am a second courser and my 2nd course is BSN after i graduated bs biology.i believe i've been through alot of perseverance, patience, and hard-working for my future with my own family.as of the moment, i still have no work bcoz i just graduated and passed our local board exam and now,im focusing on my review for the NCLEX.however,i feel the same way with my husband.ever since, he kept on promising that he will help me through with our lives as a family.we had an agreement that he should be working by now coz we have no other source of income aside from the support we get from our parents.he didn't finish his college which i asked him to do coz it'll be so important for us.coz here,it's almost impossible to find a good job unless you are a college graduate so i was thinking, how much more if he will be undergrad.he took alot of courses and didn't finish anything.i got mad and felt hopeless so i decided to work on my own and do the things on my own.then i asked him to find a job instead.he was also in areal estate and again, he didn't last there.he quit.and i was like, wait this is not good anymore.he promised me that he will find a job and earn money for the schooling of our child who will be starting his nursery year next june.and until now,we still have no savings at all.i planned to work and i really wanna work but i just cant coz i really need to pass the NCLEX and it's gonna be tough for me to serve two masters at a time.and i started to realize that even on our way to the states,it's still me who's going to find a way and i thought this is TOO UNFAIR.he's just living his life without any sacrifices..and i forsee myself being just like in your situation where i will be the only one handling all the expenses and living.i dont wanna go that far but until now,i dont know what to do.he has no directions and is completely dependent to me and our parents.i dont know if until when am i going to be patient for this kind of life.sometimes i wanna call it off..sometimes i think of getting out of the situation by having a separation.but im more concerned with our child, i dont want him to beling in a broken family thats why im trying to hold on.i just hope by the time we move to tha states,he would change and help with everything but i still doubt.what should i do? any suggestions?im really hopeless.............
how about the Q&A of saunders? is it a big help? what is the difference between the comprehensive review and the q&a? is it like a text book?thanks! so that i will know if i still have to buy the comprehensive reviewer other than the q&a.
it is actually not a new story nowadays.i have to admit that i once became just the same.some people just don't over-grow, i might say, their "mean spoiled" side.a very good example:a kid who didn't get the candy he was asking from his mom in a candyshop.the only reason why we sometimes hate our professors is bcoz he/she didn't comply with what we want and learning something is a new challenge for us..sometimes we don't want that challenge because we are so stressed out or simply bcoz we're too lazy to learn new things and that gives pressure.who wants to get pressured?every human being have tried to avoid it but that is life and we learn from it.that's why instead of thanking them, we hate them..but i believe, based on my own experience, that when we finally graduate or loose grip from those clinical instructors, we soon realize that we are so blessed to have them..we should admire their patience and willingness to share their knowledge.it is actually our problem, not theirs..just a fact that we are still dumbs!so a lil advice, go back to them when it's finally over to be working and studying with them and a simple thank you and sorry will be forever treasured by these professional angels. remember, if not with them, we won't be standing where we are in life right now. :angel2:
thank you for the fast reply.i am a nurse here in the philippines. i requested for the application for Licensure by Exam from maryland BON office, i emailed them already.but i have no idea how long will it take before i receive the form together with the finger print card.these are some of our requirements to be able to take the NCLEX. anod how is Maryland? is it a good place for nurses? do they pay good? how about the tax? i hope i could get more informations. thanks so much! :kiss
I am planning to apply in maryland and i already request for licensure by exam in their BON.how long will it take before i receive the form?I only requested last week and I emailed them but there's still no response regarding my request.anyways, i also read here that Maryland is a "walk through" city and as far as i know, it's about travel nurses.
However,i have no plans of being a travel nurse. I wanted to stay in maryland for the longest time i want. I want a stable job there and a stable living. Is it still possible for a BSN,RN like me?and is their processing that long or not so long?i hope i can hear from u soon. thank you!
