I am a school nurse at a small school with no guidance counselor to help. A student is going to confide in me that her parent is an alcoholic (according to friends). If I determine that parent is not endangering student, what help do I give her?

I am happy but feel like I'm not making the most of my nursing skills (small school, less than 200 kids and I don't give even one daily med!). Salary and commute would be about the same.

I have kids who come in and help themselves to my bandaids and ice packs without asking. Um, hello? I don't go through your locker so don't touch my stuff!
I had a student with PFAPA- Period Fever, Aphthous Stomatitis, Pharyngitis, Cervical Adenitis. Would get a fever, go away and come back, and feel fine most of the time. Occasionally would have a minor sore throat.
